About EVYS
The East Valley Youth Symphony, Inc. was founded in 2006 by a group of dedicated conductors and music enthusiasts who recognized the need for advanced students to further develop their skills in a setting that both challenges and inspires. Today, EVYS is home to three orchestras—two strings-only ensembles and one full symphony orchestra—as well as a preparatory winds group designed to give less-experienced wind players a pathway into the symphony. With approximately 95 members ranging in age from 8 to 23, EVYS continues to nurture young musicians while supporting school music programs by asking each member to participate in their school orchestra, when available.
