But behind every rehearsal, concert, and opportunity is something just as important… our incredible parent volunteers.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the East Valley Youth Symphony relies on parent involvement to keep our program running smoothly—and to keep tuition as affordable as possible for every family. Quite simply, EVYS wouldn’t exist without you.
Why Volunteering Matters
When families step in to help, it allows us to:
- Bring in exceptional clinicians and guest educators
- Provide high-quality concert experiences
- Keep tuition costs manageable
- Create a strong, supportive community for our musicians
And here’s the reality—if everyone assumes someone else will take care of things… no one will. But when each family contributes in even a small way, everything becomes easier, lighter, and more successful for everyone.
Board & Volunteer Opportunities for Next Season
We are currently looking to fill several key roles for the 2026–2027 season:
Board & Leadership Roles

- Treasurer Assistant
- Publishing Director
- Social Media/Marketing Director
Team & Support Roles
- Social Media/Marketing Team Members
- Fundraising Team Members
- Concert Attire Coordinator
Many of these positions are flexible and can be shared across a team, so you’re never carrying the load alone.
